November 18, 2008

It is a lively complex, popular with British tourist and consisting of two separate wings, the Ambassador Playa I and II can be found 250 metres from the golden sands of the Levante beach in the heart of the tourist resort of Benidorm, surrounded by shops and leisure opportunities. The nearest airport is only 45km away. The location is simply superb.untitled-11

You also can find more area attraction near the Ambassador Playa Hotel such as Levante beach, Aqualandia Water Amusement Park, Marine Exotic Animal Park, Canelobre natural caves, Algra Falls, Terra Mitica Theme Park. Spent 2 nights here and enjoyed my trip a lot.

London- Parks and Places

November 10, 2008

While the English weather has earned a reputation of being unpredictable, when summer rolls in temperatures are likely to go very high indeed. Luckily London contains with many lakes and pools which are ideal for both swimming and boating. Here are a few such places worth heading to when the heat gets unbearable.
Hyde Park with its Serpentine Lake is one of the most popular spots in London during the hot summer months. Pedal and rowing boats can be hired out, while the Serpentine Lido and its paddle pool are great spots in which to cool off. The sizeable lake at Regent’s Park is also ideal for boating and is home to several species of water birds as well.

Another good spot for swimming is Hampstead Heath and Parliament Hill Fields which are located a little away from Central London. The 3 natural ponds you will find here are a big attraction so you’re sure to have plenty of company during your swim. While there is plenty of room in the ponds, children have to be over 8 in order to swim in them. There is a paddling pool close by at Parliament Hill Fields which is ideal for smaller children.

The Tooting Bec Lido (as seen in the movie “Snatch”) is also worth a visit during summer. This huge outdoor London pool is normally open to the public from the end of May until the end of August and has a delightful paddling area equipped with model animals which children will love.
So the next time the heat gets too hot to handle in London, just slip into your swimwear and head to the nearest pool or lake and enjoy the summer weather.

Amusement Parks, a must visit in Majorca

November 10, 2008

If your idea of Majorca includes quiescent beaches, friendly people and some colourful local culture you would only be partly right. Dispersed throughout this lovely Spanish island are several great delight and theme parks which make Majorca a must visit especially if you have the backbreaking task of keeping kids entertained. Better when ever you plan a trip to Majorca make sure you book the correct hotel. Personally according to my experience I would prefer Hotel Costa Azul because I booked this hotel two times during my last stay in Spain. The hotel is situated in an absolutely fabulous location, overlooking the Bay of Plama. Situdated on the south coast of the Island. The hotel is also contain enough facilities and friendly staff. The main thing I like is the breakfast. If I go again to Majorca I will book the same hotel again.

If you are planning to visit Majorca a good place to start is at Marineland which can be found near the Costa d’en Blanes beach in Calvia. The main attraction is its dolphin and sea lion shows which both children and grown ups will love while you will find a large variety of other animals here as well including penguins, reptiles, sharks and even monkeys. Marineland’s aviary is also worth visiting. Tickets are a bit on the pricey side and some of the lines can get a bit long, but you do get lots of stuff to see and do. It is also a good idea to bring some food and drinks along as you are likely to spend most of the day here.
Another great amusement park in Majorca is Aquacity in S’Arenal (Platja de Palma) which is one of the largest of its kind in Europe. Attractions such as the “Devil’s Tail” and the “Grand Canyon” are worth a visit, while young children will enjoy its mini zoo. Aqualand in Magalluf with its many rides (even though on water, some rides do require nerves of steel!) is another great water based amusement park which provides plenty of fun and excitement even for hard-to-please teenagers!
Majorca and these amusement parks make for an action packed holiday with lots of great memories for the whole family!

Pirates Show in Majorca – My Favourite

November 7, 2008

When I was traveling to Spain I heard about the Pirate show in Majorca. It was in year 2007 and I was planned to have my trip to Barcelona. In order to see the Pirate show I changed my plans to Majorca and took my 2 friends with me. I was stayed in Hotel Costa Azul and had a wonderful stay the hotel.
In simple when ever you plan a visit to Majorca I prfer you to watch the pirate show. I have been there for several times. The show which is titled “Pirates Adventure” as you may have guessed is based on pirates and adventure on the high seas which the kids will love and entertain a lot. The show is held at its own theatre which is situated next to Majorca’s Aquapark.

The show revolves around swashbuckling Captain Morgan and the dastardly pirate Jacques Lafitte as they battle each other in an epic struggle for supremacy. The show is done on large scale and apart from plenty of great stunts, lighting effects and theatrics, you also get a huge life size pirate ship which makes it that much more exciting and interesting. There is also huge number of audience participation as you are expected to cheer or jeer the different characters.

The Pirates Show includes dinner which comprises roast chicken, barbecue sausages and “Treasure Trove Salad”. There are two main seating sections for the show which are the Main Deck (50 Euros for adults and 28.50 Euros for children) and the Quarter Deck (65 Euros for adults and 43.50 Euros for children). Please make sure the price because i’m not sure about the current pricing. If your budget allows it, the slightly more expensive Quarter Deck is worth it. The ticket prices mentioned are those for the high season (normally July and August), the rest of the year you can get in for less.
You will probably spend a little over 2 hours at the show which makes for an interesting night out. There is also a special performance called “Pirates Uncut” which is for those over 18 years and basically follows the same pattern, but with profanity, hence the “Adults only” restriction.

New Years Eve in Costa Del Sol

November 6, 2008

One of the best ways of ringing in the New Year would be to visit Costa Del Sol, on the coast along Malaga, in Andalucia. Known as the sunniest coast in Spain, boasting great weather all year long, Costa del Sol beckons those who want to escape the frigidity of winter for balmier weather.

New Years Eve is a time for celebration starting with a feast. If you are lucky you may have friends who will invite you to share their meal at home or you will have a choice of restaurants to visit. After a sumptuous meal, just head towards Plaza del Reloi before midnight and join the throngs of people intent on just one thing, celebrating the New Year. The city council provides all the paraphernalia to welcome the New Year including the12 grapes that you eat one by one at the stroke of midnight, a popular tradition through out Spain. If you manage to do so, your year ahead will be full of good luck. The best part is that all the party goodies are free of charge including the impressive firework display that follows. New Year is an ideal opportunity to savour Cava, which in Spain is equal to Champagne. Be prepared for a night of revelry until dawn.

Throughout the coast in Nerja, Velez Malaga, Malaga, Torremolinos, Benalmadena, Mijas, Marbella, Estepona and all other places however small the village may be, celebrations continue with festive decor and parties that last throughout the night.

Hotel Perla Marina

If you are planning a visit to Costs Del Sol this December hotel Perla Marina is the better place to stay. The location is simply superb, where past traditions and trade still find a source of living, where tourists drove the local attractions like the Balcony of Europe and the Nerja Caves and where a memorable and precious holiday lies in wait, Perla Marina Hotel Costa Del Sol could not be better situated. The near by locations are Cuevas de Nerja, Balcon de Europa, Burriana Beach, Calle San Miguel, Old fishing district of El Bajondillo, Malaga, Baviera Golf course, Aquatic parks, Safari-park, Fairground. Hotel Perla Marina Costa Del Sol also contains good facilities and friendly staffs. Enjoy………

First time in New York?

November 5, 2008

If you’re visitng New York for the first time, here are a few travel tips for the first-timer which could prove useful on your journey.

Getting around
The best way to explore New York is by foot not by vehicles. With its imposing skyscrapers, mad rush of people and cacophony of sounds, New York can be intimidating at first, but can be enjoyed to the fullest once you get used to the hive of activity in this cosmopolitan city. Of course it does pay to be street smart and such precautions as keeping a watchful eye on your wallet goes without saying.

To get around New York, you can either make use of the city’s subway system or hop on a bus. Apart from tokens, buses and subway stations also operate on a Metrocard system which is a cheaper way to get around if you plan to do a lot of traveling.

Cultural melting pot
One of the first things which will strike you is just how multicultural a place New York is and a great way to experience this cultural diversity is to visit small neighborhoods such as Little Italy, Chinatown and the Hispanic Lower East Side each with their own unique character.

What is worth seeing?
A good place to soak up the New York vibe is Times Square which is at the heart of the city, while the Empire State Building, Broadway, Central Park, the Rockefeller Center and the Statue of Liberty should be on any first timer’s travel itinerary. New York is also a shopper’s paradise and places such as Fifth Avenue, Macy’s and Madison Avenue should satisfy even the most demanding of shopaholics.

Finally, remember not to cram your schedule too much because part of the charm of New York is taking it slow and just immersing yourself in the city’s magical atmosphere.

Recommended hotel

I would recommend hotel Pennsylvania to stay, because it is situated in an excellent location in New York. Hotel Pennsylvania is situated close to the many world renowned attractions in New York. The property is set across the street from Madison Square Garden. Macy’s department store is just 1 block away. The accommodation is three blocks from the Empire State Building. Times Square is 9 blocks away. Times Square is a major intersection in Manhattan at the junction of Broadway and Seventh Avenue and stretching from West 42nd to West 47th Streets. Nearby attractions also include Soho district, Little Italy, American Museum of Natural History, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Greenwich Village and St. Patrick’s Cathedral.
